Formal ponds
This is an example of a pond we built for a customer that has a more formal front yard. They have large Koi and wanted a pond with very simple lines. Because it is a Koi pond design it is fairly deep at 36″ to protect from predators like herons, egrets or even Raccoon’s. Koi ponds must always have a good pond pump and filter to keep the water healthy and clean. Many like this one will add a Ultra Violet Sterilizer to help to keep green algae spores under control. They may enhance the pond with water lilies to add color and more shade.
A nice element that we added was the water weirs as the waterfall. They are a nice and clean look that is very popular.
